A revolutionary high-frequency spindle SPEEDER
Enables HIGH-SPEED MACHINING ON ANY CNC MACHINE – WITHOUT COSTLY CONVERSIONS.
The fully autonomous spindle requires no external controls and is tool magazine compatible allowing automatic tool change. The Speeder 60 ER11 combines all the necessary components, making installation simple and commissioning fast. This powerful solution promises high efficiency and ease of use – a real advance in CNC machining technology.
Key Benefits of the SPEEDER
- Plug and Play – No costly and/or fiddly adaptations or integrations necessary for your machining centre/s. Be ready to go within minutes of unboxing and flexibly share high-speed cutting between machine centres.
- Significant improvement in surface finish – At up to 60,000 RPM cutters will perform better and last longer.
- Up to 4x reduction in cycle times – Faster feed rates mean higher production rates and greater utilisation of your machine centres.
- Zero maintenance – The unit is fitted with maintenance-free hybrid ball bearings and the ER11 clamping system supports efficient tool changes.
- Can be used for both wet and dry cutting with integrated spray jets for tool cooling.
- The battery is designed to last a shift of up to 8 hours with only a battery swap if required to be ready for the next shift.
A Fresh Alternative
Until now speeder units have been relatively temperamental and/or required costly/ fiddly machine adaptations. This unit offers a fresh alternative it’s plug and play and 100% autonomous. Simply mount your cutter, click in the rechargeable battery pack, set the cutting speed of up to 60,000 RPM and then load the unit into your machine head or Tool magazine. Start/stop of the speeder is controlled by presence of coolant pressure or slow rotation of the main spindle.
This unit builds on SycoTec heritage of high-precision machine spindles and custom electric motors which Principle Engineering are proud to represent to manufacturers in the U.K. and Ireland.
Units are available now and typically bought with two batteries.
