Incremental Encoders

If you wish to know the position, speed and/or direction of your processing equipment, we can help. A simple definition of an incremental encoder: A spoked wheel that has a counter, counting the spokes either up or down, it does not know where on the wheel it is but it can count either up or down as the wheel turns; if the power is switched off then the count starts from zero when the power is returned; if the equipment is moved during the power shut down, there is no way of knowing this; the equipment must be re-set to a known datum.
